We've watched the play club settle in to a space for deep play and exploration, with plenty of scope for beginners and the experienced alike. We've seen it start to outgrow it's setting and run a little short of kit to play on.

However, we've also watched as the Kink Ball started to conflict with the play club, and seen that those who come to our events want an opportunity to socialise without fighting the music. Reluctantly, we are planning now to move the Ball out of the main Kinkdom event. The venue management are keen for us to run some kind of lite kink/LGBT dance, which will be the new home for the Kink Ball.

We've seen the Fair struggle to gain ground after a promising start, and given that the Fair is a major burden on our resources, we have decided to withdraw it at least for January. It may return, and we are hoping it will be back from February onwards.

So the January Kinkdom format will be:

The Play Club starts at 6pm and closes at 1am, in the main downstairs area. With a little separation from the main bar, careful placement of the settees and privacy by curtaining off the front entrance (we'll use the side door during the evening) this will maintain the play atmosphere, but have more space and more comfort than earlier events, and much more scope for talking.

Music will be background and suitable for deep play.

There will be a buffet provided, no charge, but donations to cover the cost will be welcome.

Note: the venue allows disabled access to the whole of the lower floor, which will cover the play club and the bar.

Behaviour code

No blood, no watersports, no scat, no sex, no blatant nudity. Keep it clean and respectable. For more details, see our code of conduct.

Dress code

Fetish, glamour, DJ, stage 'blacks' (ie, black shirt, black trousers, black shoes, but keep it smart), no full nudity please, absolutely no jeans or trainers. The theme this time is Winter: snowflakes, Jack Frost, icicles...

There is plenty of chance to change at the venue: large, clean well-lit toilets, please do not wander through the streets of Huddersfield in your best fetish wear or cross dressed!!
